Company Profile

What does FluidMasters do?

Machinery operators are well aware that preventative maintenance lowers repair costs plus saves on the downtime involved. FluidMasters’ focus is to supply quality products and services for your equipment that will lower your ongoing running and maintenance costs, boost performance and extend equipment life… "WE GUARANTEE IT".

FluidMasters' machinery fluid management can give equipment owners the reliability, enhanced performance and lower running costs that they need to operate their equipment in this competitive environment. Costs are soaring skywards with the cost of fuel and oil spiraling out of control. Every machinery owner needs a program to maximise the investment they make in their equipment through performance and equipment life plus gaining the lowest possible ongoing costs. This is where FluidMasters have the products and services to help you achieve this goal.

FluidMasters have engaged international industrial chemists to develop their products. Through extensive laboratory testing they have formulated fluid management products that are a vast improvement on existing competitive products in the market place.

In February 1988 these products were introduced to farmers and after achieving outstanding results the company expanded its offerings to other industry groups which include marine and transport. As time has passed and technology improved, ongoing research has seen these products refined and improved to where they are considered by the company to be of the highest performance that current science is able to produce.

Onsite Services

Operators cannot afford the downtime and expense to have their equipment moved to a service centre or workshop for servicing. FluidMasters have developed unique and proprietary servicing equipment in our service van that can "come to you" and service your equipment’s cooling systems, transmissions, gearboxes, differentials and power steering systems conveniently allowing you to have your machines serviced ON SITE.

There are four areas to be looked after and managed. All of these areas need to be attended to as recommended in all manufacturer’s equipment handbooks/manuals.

  • Air System
  • Fuel System
  • Cooling System
  • Oil System

Please go the relevant web page to see more detail on each of the systems and how FluidMasters addresses these.

Testimonials

Blue Grease

I used the blue grease on two flexi-coil bars pre seeding and then 1500 ha later I was able to squeeze more grease into every nipple. Using my old brand of very tacky grease we would struggle to get grease into a third of the nipples if I left the grease up that long. The walking axles work in very harsh conditions and often get tight but they were still very free in movement. From the results of using the grease throughout the machines at seeding I can't wait to see it extend the life of the bearings on the header come time to take the crop off.

Captain Cook Crusies

To whom it may concern,

Captain Cook Cruises (Western Australia) have been using Gen 4 Fuel Stabilzer (Now Gen 8) and ProtxL fuel filters for approx 12 years. After numerous services, we have gained enough history of the condition of our equipment re-fuel pumps, injectors and emissions of engines to confidently extend our service periods. For example: fuel pumps every 15,000 hours, injectors every 7500 hours (main engines on our larger vessels)

There is peace of mind in the fact that a combination of the fuel stablizer and ProtxL fuel filters is helping to protect our engines, in which turn has reduced maintenance and replacement times. Service costs have also been reduced as we have stretched our secondary filter service from 250 hours to 1000 hours.

Outlined below are the engines and horsepower our fleet has:

  • 2x380 HP Volvos 29000 hours using 300mm Maxi filters
  • 2x270 HP Volvos 25000 hours using 300mm Maxi filters
  • 2x210 HP Volvos 20000 hours using 300mm Maxi filters
  • 6 x180 HP Perkins 18000 hours using 150mm Fat boy filters
  • 6 x 90 HP Perkins Gensets at 12000 hours using 150mm Fat boy filters
  • 2 x 130 HP Perkins Gensets at 12000 hours using 300mm Fat boy filters
  • 1x130 HP Perkins Genset at 25000 hours using 150mm Fat boy filters

With the future in mind, especially with fuel quality changing we will continue to use these two products together with the main aim of exacting the life of our equipment.

Yours Sincerely,

Dear Philip,

With reference to our long term use of ProtxL oil filters and Mobil Delvac 1 synthetic oil.

Our general requirement is to take our prawn trawlers and pealing vessels to approximately 3,000 hours on the main engines without oil change and we generally like to get 4,500 to 5,500 hours out of our auxiliary engines. This gives us one season’s operating without oil changes at our branches enabling oil changes to be carried out at our maintenance facility in Fremantle.

We were especially surprised with our V2 92 TA & V8 TA Detroit Diesel engines that run 2,000 hours with zero soot readings and only slight soot readings occurring up to 2500 hours. To achieve these readings when the Detroit recommendation is 150 hours with mineral oil is remarkable.

The benefits of this one season extended oil change are significant-

- Reduced engine service cost and far less oil to dispose of.
- Engine performance is maintained.
- Reduced repairs and maintenance.

Thank you for your support.
